It’s hard to know how much or what kind of activity you need to stay healthy. That's why Google Fit collaborated with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA) to bring you heart points, an activity goal that can help improve your health.

Activities that keep your heart pumping hard have health benefits for your heart and mind. You’ll get one heart point for every minute of moderate activity, such as catching speed while your dog is walking, and double points for more intense running activities. The amount of physical activity recommended by the AHA and WHO is to take a brisk walk of 0 minutes five days a week to reduce the risk of heart disease, improve sleep and improve overall mental health.

Google Fit will help you:

Track your workout with your phone or watch

Get instant insights when you exercise and see real-time statistics for your runs, walks and bike rides. Fit will use your Android phone's sensor or wear OS through the heart rate sensors of Google Smartwatch to record your speed, speed, route and more.

Keep an eye on your goals

Watch your daily progress on the goal of your heart points and steps. Meeting your goals all the time? Easily adjust your goals to keep challenging yourself to achieve a healthy heart and mind.

Count all your movements

If you walk, run, or ride a bike all day, your Android phone or ware OS will automatically detect your activities in your Google Fit Journal via Google Smartwatch and ensure that you get credit for each move. Enjoy different types of workouts? Choose it from a list of activities like pilates, rowing or spinning and Google Fit will track all the heart points you earn.
