The Job Profile of Dak Sevaks will include all functions of viz sale of stamps and stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail and any other duties assigned by Postmaster/Sub Postmaster including IPPB work in the Departmental Post Offices/RMS. However, the work performed for IPPB will not be included in calculation of TRCA, since the same is being done on incentive basis.He may also have to assist Post Masters/Sub Postmasters in managing the smooth functioning of Departmental Post Offices and do marketing, business procurement or any other work assigned by the Post Master or IPO/ASPO/SPOs/SSPOs/SRM/SSRM and other Supervising authorities. In Railway Mail Services (RMS), GDS has to handle the work related to RMS, like, closing/opening of bags, transport of bags from one place to other manually and any other works allotted by the RMS authorities.

Educational Qualification for Dak Sevak bharti : 

  • (i) Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics, local language and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories in India shall be a mandatory educational qualification for all approved categories of Gramin Dak Sevaks.
  • (ii) Compulsory knowledge of Local Language The candidate should have studied the local language at least up to 10th standard [as compulsory or elective subjects] as declared by the State Government or as per constitutional provisions relating to the 8th schedule of Constitution of India.

690 posts of Assistant Sub-Inspector have been recruited in Central Industrial Security Force. At these vacancies (LDCE) department will conduct examination of recruitment process. Applications can be submitted until February 5. The recruitment will fill 536 vacancies for open category, 103 vacancies for SC category and 51 vacancies for ST category.



Zee Bureau, Ahmedabad: The Central Industrial Security Force has recruited 690 Assistant Sub Inspectors. At these vacancies (LDCE) department will conduct examination of recruitment process. Educational Qualification

Head Constable, GD Constable, Tradesman and Constable will be eligible to participate for 5 years. Power for police recruitment will be taken away from secondary service selection board

After many controversies, the unarmed PSIs, ASIs, constables, intelligence officers, armed police constables, etc. in the state police force will now be replaced by class-3 posts by the state home department instead of the secondary service selection board. However, this also requires compliance with the conditions set by the government.

There have been many controversies and agitations over the issues like examinations, results, appointments and recruitment conducted by the Gujarat Secondary Service Selection Committee (GSSSB) for some time now. In these circumstances, sources in the General Administration Department said that till now the technical and non-technical recruitment process under Cadre-3 was done by the Secondary Service Selection Board.

Consideration of formation of Lokarakshak Recruitment Board

The Home Department is considering setting up a separate recruitment board for the recruitment of PSIs, Intelligence Officers, ASIs, Armed SRPF cadres under the Home Department and Lokarakshak Recruitment Boards for the recruitment of unarmed constables, armed police constables and SRPF cadres.

The Home Department alone will fill 12,988 posts

PSI, Intelligence Officer, ASI, Armed SRPF, Unarmed Constable and Armed Police Constable. All these 12,988 posts will now be recruited directly by the Home Department. However it is said that this is limited to just one recruitment exercise or one year earlier whichever is earlier, so the recruitment process will be completed within a year. Recruitment will be based entirely on OMR test and no candidate will be interviewed or interviewed in person during recruitment.

CUTOFF SCORE (Online Main Examination)
