This is the second time in the history of the IPL that the entire IPL will be held outside India. The IPL was first held in South Africa in 2009 due to the Lok Sabha elections. The IPL was to be played in India from March 29

The BCCI managed to advance the T20 World Cup after it closed and now the IPL will be played in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai, the third largest city in the UAE.

The IPL will be played in an empty stadium without spectators

Due to Corona, however, this time the IPL will be played in an empty stadium without spectators. Spectators have always been the most important part of the IPL, so playing IPL without them and watching them on TV would be a little strange. However, it is expected to be seen by millions of people on TV.
