Earnings up to Rs 5 lakh can be tax-free, insurance premiums can also be increased.

Senior Citizen: Up to Rs 5 lakh can be earned Tax-free, insurance premium can also be increased relief

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman may offer several concessions to the elderly in the budget this time.  For one, the income tax exemption limit for them may be increased.  Second, there is talk of increasing the tax relief on its premiums in view of the need for insurance due to the Corona epidemic.  This change will take place in the old tax system.

Earnings up to Rs 5 lakh can be tax-free
At present, the elderly do not have to pay tax on income up to Rs 3 lakh a year.  This limit was fixed 6 years ago in 2014.  Given rising inflation, it could be increased to Rs 5 lakh.  Thus, the limit for senior citizens above 80 years of age is already Rs 5 lakh.

The deduction limit may increase on the insurance premium

Under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act, health insurance premiums up to Rs 50,000 paid by senior citizens are exempted.  It could be increased to 1 lakh considering the health related needs after the Koro epidemic.

 Deduction on interest earnings

Under the Senior Citizen Section 80 TTB, a rebate of up to Rs 50,000 per annum can be claimed on interest earned on a savings bank account and a fixed deposit.  It can be increased from 50 thousand to 1 lakh.

Tax may be levied on the interest of the Senior Citizen Savings Scheme

Interest received in Post Office Senior Citizen Savings Scheme (SCSS) can be tax free.  At present, it has to pay tax on its interest just like a fixed deposit.  The scheme is currently earning 7.4% annual interest.

The tax exemption limit on treatment costs may be increased

Currently, under Section 80DDB, a senior citizen taxpayer can claim a deduction of up to Rs 1 lakh for expenses incurred on treatment of certain diseases.  But illnesses like corona have increased the cost of treatment.  This may increase the tax exemption under section 80DDB.

Digital budget

This time the budget copy will not be printed.  Budget documents will be made available digitally.  The government has also developed a new mobile app for budget.

High hopes for salaried and middle class

The salaried people and the middle class have high hopes for the finance minister.  The salaried class wants the finance minister to make a big announcement about income tax relief.  This is to increase the basic exemption of Rs 2.5 lakh in income tax to Rs 3 lakh

Online Education Daily Home Learning Video 1 February std 1 to 12

Online Education Daily Home Learning Video 1 February std 1 to 12

Since the first spring of 2020, Chinese universities are experiencing an unprecedented massive “migration” from traditional in‐class face‐to‐face education to online education. thanks to the widespread of Coronavirus disease (COVID‐19) in China, following the government's requirements of “nonstop teaching and learning,” most Chinese universities have started online education. during a short period of time , many faculty members began to teach ahead of a display screen , and their students need to occupy home and take the courses through the web . Beyond China, with the spread of COVID‐19 across the planet , as of March 13, 61 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, the center East, North America, and South America have announced or implemented school and university closures and most of universities have enforced localized closures (UNESCO, 2020). This paper therefore identifies the high‐impact practice principles of online education and provides a case study for colleagues at universities to think about conducting online education in similar circumstances.

Since the start of the 21st century, Chinese universities have launched online education reforms to make an open education network supported information and network technologies. With the rapid development of Massive Open Online Courses, the amount of those online courses offered by Chinese universities has exceeded 500, and nearly 3 million people have participated in these courses (Shang & Cao, 2017). because the forerunner of online education in Chinese universities, Peking University has offered about 100 online courses. However, compared to the face to face courses offered by universities, the proportion of online courses remains low, and most of the web courses are taken by adult vocational students who haven't registered at Peking University.

The outbreak of COVID‐19 was unexpected and it forced Peking University to launch live online programs of a complete of two ,613 undergraduate online courses and 1,824 graduate online courses so as to make sure the traditional teaching operation, with 44,700 students occupy homes or dorms (Lei, 2020).

Based on observations of online teaching at Peking University, this paper classifies six instructional strategies to enhance students' learning concentration and engagement so as to realize a smooth transition to online learning.

4.1 First, making emergency preparedness plans for unexpected problems

Since all the courses were switched to online education mode, the pc servers might not be ready to host such an outsized scale of latest users, the web education platform may often pack up due to overload. so as to unravel all types of unexpected issues timely, faculty got to prepare Plan B or maybe Plan C before classes start and inform students beforehand .

4.2 Second, dividing the teaching content into smaller units to assist students focus

Many Chinese college students have shown weak persistence in online learning, which seriously restricted their learning effectiveness (Li, Wu, Yao, & Zhu, 2013). so as to make sure that students consider online study, faculty should reasonably break down the content of the in‐class teaching into different topics and adopt a modular pedagogics . In other words, on the idea of ensuring a transparent knowledge structure within the curriculum, faculty divide the teaching content into several small modules with each lasting approximately 20–25 min.

When you move a face-to-face course the structure of the weekly content will often be defined by the topics in your face-to-face course. the most challenge won't be structuring the content but ensuring that learners have enough online activities.

Structure the course as weeks following the topics. This provides a transparent timetable. Problem-based learning also allows for learners to possess weekly activities.

It is important to make sure that the face-to-face content is moved during a way that's suitable for online learning. Powerpoint slides don't work. you would like to reorganize or redesign the content for online (the EMC instructional designers can help with this).

Designing online activities

There are a huge array of online technologies available which will help enhance learning activities. it's important however, to carefully select those that are most appropriate for your class learning outcomes. it's critical to recollect the web is a component of our lifestyle and has become integrated into contemporary society, and our teaching should reflect and acknowledge this.

Introducing a web activity to a category offers many benefits to teachers and students. However success often relies on how appropriate the activity and therefore the chosen technology are for the training context, and the way well both are integrated into the training process.

Improper sitting causes head, neck and back pain, which puts 6 times more pressure on the spine

Understand the cause of pain: Improper sitting causes head, neck and back pain, which puts 6 times more pressure on the spine.

  • If the head is tilted forward 60 degrees, a load of 27 kg is placed on the spine
  • Poor posture has a direct effect on the back muscles

According to research from the Mayo Clinic, if your head is tilted forward to 60 degrees Celsius, the spinal cord weighs about 27 kg. This bad posture has a bad effect on many parts of the body.

This problem shows that the posture is bad

Poor posture affects the back muscles. This pressure reaches the head, neck, back and shoulders through the nerves. This can lead to headaches, jaw pain, neck and back pain, shoulder pain, pain in the knees and hips and paws.

Proper posture should be like this

Always keep the head straight when standing. When using a mobile, keep it at eye level. Pull the shoulders back slightly. The legs should be straight, the knees should be in a normal position. Body weight should fall between the legs. The legs should be shoulder width apart

અહીંથી વાંચો સંપુર્ણ ગુજરાતી રીપોર્ટ

Sit down: Keep the computer screen at eye level instead of leaning towards the computer screen, windshield, etc. Keeping the back straight on the chair. If necessary, bend the pillow or towel and apply it on the waist. Keep the keyboard at elbow height. There should be a 90 degree angle between the hips and the knees. Keeping the feet in a comfortable position on the floor.

Introducing a web activity to a category offers many benefits to teachers and students. However success often relies on how appropriate the activity and therefore the chosen technology are for the training context, and the way well both are integrated into the training process.

For the web learning and teaching experience to be effective, it's important that there's strong alignment between the intended learning outcomes and therefore the activities which will help develop students’ achievement of those outcomes. How you select which activity and associated technology to use can depend upon variety of factors:

A shortage of execs in science, technology, engineering, and arithmetic (STEM) fields is slowing down growth and innovation within the global knowledge economy (1–2). Developed and developing countries alike have introduced multibillion-dollar programs to extend the availability of STEM graduates (3–5). However, institutions of upper education face a requirement to curb the rising costs related to attracting qualified instructors and serving more graduates as STEM degree programs cost more to run than most other majors (6). the most important global producers of STEM graduates—China, India, Russia, and therefore the United States—are actively seeking policy alternatives to extend the cost-effectiveness of STEM education at scale (5). We present a reasonable approach to addressing this global challenge and demonstrate its efficacy during a randomized field experiment.

Experts in education and economics have touted blended or fully online content delivery as a vehicle for expanding access to education (7). Experimental or quasi-experimental evidence indicates that online and blended approaches to content delivery can produce similar or somewhat lower academic achievement compared with in-person programs (8–12). These findings are supported comparisons between the modality in fact delivery within an equivalent university or an equivalent course taught by one instructor.

Yet, scaling up affordable access to STEM education requires a concerted effort across multiple universities and instructors at the national level.

Higher levels of screen time are related to a spread of health harms, like obesity and depression. Small amounts of daily screen use aren't harmful and should have some benefits.

It may be hard for a few kids to take a seat through a whole class. Some children might need more frequent breaks than others. Include "brain breaks" in between learning. A young child may have a fast break after staying on a task for five to 25 minutes, said Linda Carling, an associate research scientist at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education Center for Technology in Education.

Allowing time for exercise before your child is predicted to specialise in learning could be an honest idea. Repeated physical activity during school can improve children's attention. Exercise is one among the simplest ways to scale back stress and stop anxiety. you'll consider having the pc on a raised surface as some children better specialise in tasks when standing.

THE TECHNOLOGY

The only reason that universities and a few school districts K-12 are ready to attend remote learning is that the technology stack has evolved an honest bit within the last four years.

Yet that stack could use further improvement. I've tried most of the large learning management systems to a point , and usually speaking, I'd sum up the category this way:

Google Classroom benefits because it's familiar to several .

Canvas has an ecosystem of add-ons and solid workflow, but interface might be cleaner.

Blackboard is analogous to Canvas.

Video conferencing is critical to the education stack so there's an enormous opportunity for a corporation like Zoom to form a play for a younger almost-professional customer base.

Apple, Google, and Microsoft have various parts of the education stack, but the method on the backend is where online education is enabled.

Another advantage of online learning is that the opportunity it brings for private growth through the event of worldwide connections. A successful online learning environment provides a secure space that permits teachers to share ideas and experiences with people from round the world.

A shortage of execs in science, technology, engineering, and arithmetic (STEM) fields is slowing down growth and innovation within the global knowledge economy (1–2). Developed and developing countries alike have introduced multibillion-dollar programs to extend the availability of STEM graduates (3–5).
